Our Methods

At Shiloh, we believe that real success in improving central nervous system functions comes from using multiple, holistic, brain improvement modalities that facilitate and enhance each other.  This is why we apply Neurofeedback in combination with other modalities to improve cognition, reduce the symptoms of CNS disorders and enhance learning. Our training programs at Shiloh Learning Centre are specifically designed to improve the central nervous system and the overall health of an individual by treating the body as a whole system with its individual parts working together as an integral unit.In order to do this we employ the following holistic modalities in our training system:

  • Multiple types of neurofeedback (brain training) such as traditional neurofeedback, LENS - Low Energy Neurofeedback System and HEG - Hemoencepholography
  • Various tools designed to improve central nervous system functionality including:  Audio-Visual Entrainment (AVE), Cranio-Electro Stimulation (CES), Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and Microcurrent Electrotherapy (MET)
  • Neurokinesis: an assortment of rich and varied sensory integration techniques.  This includes balance training and bilateral simulation to improve brain functions and gross and fine motor skills
  • Accelerated learning techniques from around the world
  • Specific nutritional recommendations
  • Meditation and relaxation techniques
  • Holistic lifestyle recommendations
  • Photonic (infrared) stimulation – Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)

Shiloh Learning Centre is always searching for new or different cutting edge modalities that prove to be even more effective in improving the central nervous system. Our clients’ ages and abilities range from early childhood to seniors and from cognitively impaired to gifted individuals. Our training system is readily adaptable to young or old and can be equally beneficial to different levels of intellect and ability. For example, the Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) which we use in our office has been successfully used on children as young as 18 months and on many seniors as well.Likewise, the other training modalities we employ are very versatile and can be applied to most ages and levels of ability. So, no matter what a person’s age or ability (18 months or older) we can design a training plan to improve their cognition, reduce symptoms of central nervous system disorders, and work toward improving their overall mental and physical health. We also offer special needs and regular academic tutoring at Shiloh Learning Centre in most academic subjects, using accelerated learning techniques for all grades K-12.We highly recommend doing tutoring in conjunction with neurofeedback and sensory integration training because if they are both done properly and in the right sequences they can greatly enhance each other and improve brain functions. However, they may be purchased separately if desired.
